Our Lawyers EMILE NADIM HARFOUCHE Received two degrees of Licence en Droit (LL.B) in 1960 from the University of St.Joseph in Beirut in both Lebanese and French law. Practiced law since then in Beirut as member of the Lebanese Bar Association and has been practicing as well in the U.A.E. since 1976 where he is licensed both by the Dubai local Courts and the U.A.E. Federal Courts (including the U.A.E. Supreme Court). Has long experience in the civil and Islamic systems and in U.A.E. law. Proficient in French, English and Arabic. Graduated from the Lebanese University Law School in 1965 and started practicing in Beirut as a member of the Lebanese Bar. Received his Masters of Comparative Law degree from Columbia University in the City of New York in 1967 and attended the Academy of American and International Law at the International and Comparative Law Center in Dallas, Texas in 1971. Practised in Saudi Arabia in 1970-71 and has been practicing in the U.A.E. since 1976 where he is licenced by the federal authorities to appear before all federal courts and by the local authorities of Dubai. Mr.Boulos is a graduate of the International College of the American University of Beirut. He received his Licence en Droit from the Lebanese University in Beirut in 1968 and started practising there until 1976 when he moved to the U.A.E. where he is licenced to practice before the Dubai local courts and the U.A.E. federal courts. He is experienced in Lebanese and U.A.E. laws with a strong background in the Islamic and Anglo-American systems. Graduated from the University of St.Joseph in Beirut in 1974 with a Licence en Droit in French Law and a similar degree in Lebanese Law. He also has a B.A. in Arabic Literature from the Lebanese University. Practiced law in Beirut since 1974 and in Dubai since 1976 where he joined this Firm as partner in 1978. His main areas of interest are banking and insurance laws, drafting joint venture agreements, arbitration and advising on comparative legal systems. A graduate of Al Ain University, Al Ain, UAE, in 1989, Mr.Al Qari has been practicing law in the various Emirates of the UAE ever since. Prior to law school he spent three years at the University of Arizona at Tucsa. His practice includes counseling and litigation. He is particularly versed in Islamic Law in addition to drafting corporate articles and contracts. Graduated from the University of Damascus in 1983 with a Licence en Droit. Has been practicing in Dubai since 1983 and with this Firm since 1988. Concentrates on drafting pleadings and contracts. Graduated from the University of Cairo in 1969 with a Licence en Droit. Practised in Egypt, Kuwait and Jordan and has been practicing in the U.A.E. since 1994. He handles litigation, trade, maritime and credit card disputes. KHALIL ANTOINE MELHEM (Beirut Office) Graduated from the St. Joseph University in Beirut in 1980. Practiced law since 1981 in Beirut as member of the Beirut Bar Association. Joined this Firm as Resident Partner in Beirut in 1994. His practice is focused on general corporate matters and includes insurance, banking trade disputes, real estate matters, Taxing, Franchise and Commercial Representation Laws. Speaks fluently Arabic, French and English. NISRINE ISSAM BOU ASSI (Beirut office) Graduated from the Sagesse University in Beirut in 2001. Member of the Beirut Bar Association. Joined the Firm in 2004. Her practice is focused on Labor Law, Criminal Laws, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Family Laws. Speaks fluently Arabic, French and English. Graduated from the Lebanese University Law School in 1995 and started practicing in Tripoli, Lebanon as a member of the Lebanese Bar Association. His practice is focused on drafting pleadings and contracts. He joined the firm in 2006 as a legal advisor. Speaks fluently Arabic and English. Graduate of the Egyptian University. He is mainly involved in court room work, the preparation of files for trials, and company registration.
